Pokemetel’s Wizardry

Pokemetel’s Wizardry addon adds over 30 spells and 256 combinations of custom spells including Tornados, Teleportation, Ice Golems, and more.

How to Start

First, craft a wood carver (two sticks around 1 iron ingot), and craft that with another stick to get an oak wand. You can use leaves if you want other wood type wands.

Your wand can next be upgraded by finding copper, crafting the wire, and adding amethyst crystals to it. But first let’s get into magic.

Getting Magic

To start off, either find a mythic flower or a crystal. Breaking the flower will allow you to craft into into a mythic crystal. This crystal can then be ground into mythic dust with the mortar and pestle. The mortar and pestle is crafted with three stone and 1 stick.

Finally, you can craft the mythic dust with a book to get your first spell: Mythic Dart!

To use the spell, turn arrows on and rotate to spell slot 1. It should say Mythic Dart.

Rotating

As you obtain more spells, the back and forward arrow can be used (long tap) to “rotate” you spell roster. Spells can be found in chests around the world.

Spell Levels

Some spells require higher levels of magic research level to use. To gain magic research craft a book and quill with a mythic dust to get 1 magic research, which can be consumed for a magic research point. The max level is 100.

You can also consume a book of magical knowledge to gain 20 research.

Here are the magic research tiers:

Rare/Blue Label (20 research)

Epic/Purple Label (60 research)

Legendary/Gold Label (100 research)

Custom Spell Crafting (100 research)

For custom crafting you need exactly 100 research level. If you go from 81 to 101, you skip 100 and bar yourself from custom spells. This is usually not an issue in survival, because books of magical research are rare. To avoid this, it is recommended closing the final gaps with normal research, or only using books of magical research on multiples of twenty (tiers).

Custom Spellcrafting

Custom Spellcrafting is unlocked at magic research level 100.

To use custom magic, you must first craft a custom spell wand and a custom spell table.

The custom spell table allows you to craft aspects such as fire aspect and twister aspect.

The custom spell wand has 6 empty slots. Each time you consume an aspect item, the current aspect is added to the equipped slot. For example, if you consume fire aspect and twister aspect in slot 2, when you use custom spell 2 you can a fire tornado.

The reset spell scroll can be used to reset a custom spell slot of all aspects.

Finally, there is the genie. You can use the genie lamp (from cleric villager trade) to summon a genie, which gives three wishes. Placing the lamp allows you to trade wishes for items. You can also craft the lamp with a wish to free the genie. The lamp gives overpowered trades like 18 diamond blocks, a book of magical research, or a +10 damage sword.

The Cosmic Genie is a boss mob which can be spawned by the black lamp. The black lamp is traded for a nether star.
